BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Lady Warriors beat Tabernacle


Savannah Logan scored 13 points Tuesday night to lead Tuscaloosa Christian past Tabernacle Christian, 33-30. Alexandra Gibson scored seven points.

Tabernacle’s Ashley Roswell scored seven points.

Tuscaloosa Christian (10-6) will travel to Lindsay-Lane Christian in Athens Friday.

 

Boys

 

Hubbertville 73, Barry 60

MILLPORT | Dax Benton scored 20 points for Hubbertville Tuesday night against Barry in the 1A Area 8 tournament at South Lamar. Barry ends its season 3-10.

For Barry, Justin Grzala scored 26 points and Jonathan Thomas scored 16 points with six assists.

Hubbertville’s Bess Benton scored 19 points, Austin Palmer scored 17 points and McKain Hubbert scored 10 points.Hubbertville will face South Lamar Friday.

 

Northriver Christian 69, T.H.E 43

Dacari Horne scored a game-high 25 points for Northriver Christian (13-2). Tay Freeman scored 15 points and Lacedrick Rice scored 14 points.

Tuscaloosa Home Educators’ Obo Hansford scored 18 points.

Northriver Christian will play at Hope Christian Academy on Friday.

 

Tuscaloosa Christian 55, Tabernacle 41

TUSCALOOSA | Sidney Sumerall was 4-4 at the three-point range, scoring 17 points Tuesday night. Daniel Hunter scored 14 points and David Pearce scored 10 points.

John White scored 21 points for Tabernacle.

Tuscaloosa Christian (6-11) will travel to Athens, Ala. on Friday to play Lindsay-Lane Christian.

 

Hale County 51, Brookwood 50

MOUNDVILLE | Senior Wyman King scored 14 points with five assists Tuesday night. Senior Bobby Fields scored 10 points and had 10 rebounds.

Brookwood’s Cody Gaither scored 16 points and Zack Lee scored 13 points.

Hale County (11-14) will travel on Friday to Aliceville.
