ROUNDUP: Pickens County wins big over Parrish, 70-6

PARRISH | Jermarcus Brown rushed for two touchdowns, caught a touchdown and returned a kickoff for another touchdown as the top-ranked Pickens County Tornadoes pounded Parrish 70-6 Friday night.
Brown scored on runs of 22 and 40 yards. He caught a 77-yard touchdown pass from Devonte Simon, and returned a kickoff 80 yards for a score in the second quarter.
Devonte Simon passed for 222 yards and three touchdowns and scored on a 1-yard run.
Marcus Hill returned an interception 9 yards for a touchdown and scored on an 11-yard run.
Pickens County led 70-6 at halftime.
Tyderious Easterwood led the Tornado defense with five tackles and one sack.
Pickens County (6-0 overall, 4-0 Class 1A, Region 5) hosts Hubbertville next Friday.
Holy Spirit 6
AUTAUGAVILLE | Quentarius Curry had five carries for 133 yards, including an 85-yard touchdown run, as Autaugaville crushed Holy Spirit.
Almonte Phillips had three catches and a touchdown reception. Stefan Palmer returned a punt 65 yards for a score.
Ell White led Autaugaville with 12 tackles.
Holy Spirit (1-5 overall, 0-4 Class 1A, Region 3) hosts Sunshine next Friday.
Lamar County 33
ALICEVILLE | Santiago Taylor was 10 of 14 for 143 yards passing and threw for three touchdowns to lead Aliceville past Lamar County.
Jaterrius Steele rushed for 147 yards and one touchdown on nine carries. He scored on an 84-yard run.
Dallas Cockerman scored three touchdowns for Lamar County on runs of 6, 5 and 1 yards. Ryan Barham scored twice on runs of 10 and 1 yards.
Aliceville (4-2 overall, 4-0 Class 2A, Region 4) travels to Oakman next Friday, while Lamar County (5-1, 4-1) travels to Cold Springs.
Berry 34, Brilliant 26
BERRY | Terrance "Tank" Hollingsworth gained 415 all-purpose yards, 273 rushing and 142 passing, and scored three touchdowns in Berry's win over Brilliant.
Defensively, Hollingsworth also had six tackles and an interception.
Weston Bonner was responsible for Berry's other three touchdowns, scoring on runs of 2, 3 and 2 yards. Bonner also caught two passes for 39 yards.
Bonner and Jeremiah Chaney each had 11 tackles. Troy Locke added nine tackles.
Berry (3-3 overall, 2-2 Class 1A, Region 5) travel to Lynn next Friday.
Linden 30, A.L. Johnson 12
THOMASTON | Terrance Sanders had 141 of Linden's 221 rushing yards and also scored a touchdown in the Patriots' win over A.L. Johnson.
Prentiss McCuiston had one touchdown run and two 2-point conversions. Devontae Knox scored on a 12-yard run in the third quarter that gave the Patriots a 14-6 lead.
Dewayne Charleston ended scoring with a 16-yard pass to his younger brother Dequan.
Christian Rogers led the Patriots with 13 tackles.
Linden (4-2 overall, 4-0 Class 1A, Region 1) hosts Marengo next Friday.
Jemison 21, West Blocton 7
JEMISON | Kevin Nunn passed for two touchdowns and rushed for another to lead the Jemison Panthers past the West Blocton Tigers in a Class 4A, Region 4 game.
Nunn threw two touchdown passes to Randy Satterfield and scored on a 1-yard run.
Jaylon Gaines scored West Blocton's lone touchdown on a 2-yard run.
West Blocton (1-5, 0-4) travels to Carbon Hill next Friday.
Sumter Central 25
CITRONELLE | John Byrd scored three rushing touchdowns and Derek Qualls returned a blocked field goal attempt 80 yards for a touchdown as Citronelle rolled past Sumter Central.
The Wildcats finished with 405 yards of total offense.
Sumter Central (1-5 overall, 0-4 Class 5A, Region 3) hosts Demopolis next Friday.
