Northridge's Walker wins golf tournament

MONTGOMERY | William Walker of Northridge High School rolled in a birdie putt on the second playoff hole and won the individual title Tuesday in the Blue-Gray Invitational Golf Tournament.
Walker posted an even-par 72 over 18 holes at the Lagoon Park course.
Northridge posted a 314 total and placed sixth among 26 teams. Other scorers for Northridge were Jake Stoutland with a 79; Trey Rose with an 81; and Jackson Seawell with an 82. Jason Campbell shot an 85, but his score didn’t count in the team total.
Auburn won the team title by beating McGill-Toolen on the second playoff hole. Both teams shot a 301 over 18 holes.
Tuscaloosa County was 11th with a 332. Preston Jones led TCHS with a 77, and Corbin Holt had a 79.
Hillcrest scored a 359 and placed 21st. Seth White and Nick Gann each shot 83.
