Lady Warriors fall just short of championship

OXFORD | After battling back-and-forth for the lead the entire game, a turnover in the final seconds gave Victory Christian of Columbus, Miss., the ball and the go-ahead score to beat Tuscaloosa Christian 44-40 in the Alabama Christian Education Athletic Association state championship game Saturday.

Katherine Turner led Tuscaloosa Christian (15-5) with 11 points.
