Holt boys fall to Leeds

MONTGOMERY | The Holt Ironmen rallied in the fourth quarter Thursday, but they couldn’t catch Leeds, which posted a 45-35 victory in the Class 3A Central Regional.

Holt (19-11), which trailed 33-17 in the third quarter, cut the deficit to seven points twice in the fourth quarter, the last time on a basket by Devonta Jenkins that made it 38-31 with 1:36 left.

Jenkins had 13 points, 10 rebounds and five steals. Franklin Spain had eight points and five rebounds. Zavieun Jackson had five points and five rebounds. LaDarius Toney had four points and three rebounds.

DeAndric Thomas made three 3-pointers and scored 18 points for Leeds (21-9). Nicholas Marbury and Anthony McMillan had eight points each.
