BOYS BASKETBALL ROUNDUP: Green leads TCHS Wildcats past Chilton County

NORTHPORT | Tuscaloosa County High School’s Justice Green scored 26 points to lead the Wildcats to a 72-56 victory Tuesday night over Chilton County in boys high school basketball action.
Teammate Christopher Johnson scored 15 points. Justin Guy had 10 points.
The Wildcats improved to 21-6.
Chilton County’s Raquaez Cora scored 13 points.
Central 53, Hale County 47
TUSCALOOSA | No. 6 Central (21-6) defeated Hale County in its final regular-season game.
Central’s Jevaris Richey scored 23 points, Terrence Rice had 13 and Vincent Davis 11.
Berry 43, Hubbertville 40 (2OT)
REFORM | Berry scored on a layup and a free throw in the waning seconds to edge Hubbertville in double overtime in the first round of the AHSAA Class 1A, Area 8 tournament.
Berry’s Terrance "Tank" Hollingsworth hit a layup, followed by a free throw by Weston Bonner, to put the Wildcats up by three. Maken Potter grabbed a rebound to finish the game.
Neil Sullivan led the Wildcats with 17 points. Hollingsworth scored 10 points, with nine rebounds and four steals.
Hubbertville’s Aaron Dilliard scored 16 points. McKain Hubbert scored 12 points.
Tuscaloosa Christian 65, North River Christian 60
TUSCALOOSA | Tuscaloosa Christian’s Trent Gibson scored 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead the Warriors (13-4).
Teammate Tyler Foust scored 26 points and made eight steals.
North River (15-2) was led by Josh Harris, who scored 21 points. Matthew Robertson scored 16 points.
Brookwood 67, Gordo 39
BROOKWOOD | Brookwood’s Cody Gaither scored 15 points to lead the Panthers past Gordo.
Zach Lee scored 13 points for the Panthers (3-26). C.J. Wilkerson and Dillon Hardeman each scored 11.
Gordo’s Chancellor Glass scored 10 points.
