TUSCALOOSA | Kyiesha Mills scored 13 points as the Hillcrest girls basketball team improved to 17-8 with a 49-22 home win against Tuscaloosa County on Tuesday.

Teammate Ambrica Johnson scored 10 points.

County High’s Shakirra Thomas scored nine points.

 

Berry 51,

American Christian 42

BERRY | Karlie Milligan scored 19 points for Berry (21-4).

Teammate Emma Herren scored. Taylor Jones had 14 rebounds.

American Christian Academy’s Chandler Dare scored 17 points.

Bessemer City 43

BESSEMER | Northridge’s Shameka Tubbs scored 22 points with seven rebounds as the Jaguars improved to 15-9.

Teammate Kiana Johnson had 19 points.

Bessemer City’s Shakari Jackson had 18 points.

Greensboro 64, Gordo 7

GORDO | Malesha Williams scored 15 points as Greensboro improved to 17-6.

Williams also had eight assists and seven steals.

Teammate Jashundra Hoskins had 12 points. Alexia Evans had 11 points and 10 rebounds.

EUTAW | Greene County’s Sacorya Jackson scored 14 points as the Tigers improved to 7-11. Teammate Nicole Vester had 10 points.

Sipsey Valley’s Tamira May scored 11 points.

TUSCALOOSA | Central’s Toborsha Holley scored 13 points to help the Falcons improve to 20-4.

Teammate Jerlissa Matthews had 11 points.

Angelica Weatherspoon, Lawanda Maddix and Shawntayla Harris each had 10 points.

McAdory’s Sydney King scored 16 points. Sharlquesha Prince had 11 points.

Southern Academy 55, South Choctaw 45

GREENSBORO | Southern Academy’s Shelbie Clary scored 13 points as the Cougars improved to 12-10.

Teammate Katlyn Tidmore had 12 points, Ashlyn Hamilton had 11 points and Makayla Swindal had 10 points.

South Choctaw’s Bree Manning scored 11 points.

Chloe Robinson scored 10 points.

Hamilton’s Angelin Taylor led all scorers with 26 points.

AKRON | Akron (15-8, 7-1)beat Linden in a AHSAA Class 1A, Area 4 game.

For Akron, Dequandra Lyles scored 25, Valencia McCain had 18 points and LovPrincess Harris had 10 rebounds.

Alexis Johnson led Linden with nine points.
