BOYS ROUNDUP: Bradford’s double-double leads Tornadoes’ win


TUSCALOOSA | Bobby Bradford scored 22 points, pulled down 10 rebounds, dished out three assists, blocked two shots and made five steals to lead No. 7 ranked Pickens County’s 79-53 home win against Fayette County on Saturday.

Three other Tornadoes scored in double figures, each with 13 points. Darius Jones also had seven rebounds and one assist. Laron Thomas also had five rebounds and one assist. Jermarcus Brown had eight rebounds, six steals and four assists.

Leading Fayette County were Will Redmond and Keyon Jones, both with 13 points,

Pickens County (11-4, 6-0) hosts Aliceville at 7 Tuesday.

 

Central 63, Demopolis 45

TUSCALOOSA | Devonte Wells scored 19 points and Marcus Pippen 12 in Central’s home win against Demopolis.

For Demopolis, Roderick Davis scored 19 and Tommy Wilson 13.

Central (15-5, 3-2) plays at Hillcrest on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

 

American Christian 72, Berry 44

TUSCALOOSA | Carter McGill scored 19, Collin Crowe 12 and Ross Hardin 10 points in American Christian Academy’s win against Berry.

Weston Bonner scored 17 and Neil Sullivan 14 to lead Berry.

Berry (6-15) hosts Northside at 7 p.m. on Tuesday while ACA is off until Thursday when it hosts Fayette County in a 7 p.m. game.

 

Hale County 58, Akron 53

MOUNDVILLE | Hale County was a home winner against Akron, led by 11 points from Wyman King and 10 points from both T.D. Lavendar and Rod Arnold. Bobby Fields had 15 rebounds to go with five points.

Rob Evans led Akron and all scorers with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Henry Hunter had 12 points and Jamie Tubbs 10.

Hale County (6-12) plays at R.C. Hatch on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
