ROUNDUP: Pickens County opens season with a win

REFORM | Bobby Bradford had 18 points, eight steals and five assists as three-time defending state champion Pickens County beat Class 1A, Area 8 opponent Hubbertville 102-31 in the Tornadoes’ opening game of the season.
Darius Jones had 17 points, four rebounds and five assists, Jermarcus Brown had 17 points and five rebounds, Terrien Steele had 12 points and seven rebounds and Devonte Simon had 11 points, four rebounds, six steals and six assists for Pickens.
Pickens County (1-0) will play at Gordo at 7 p.m. Monday.
Parrish 70, Berry 49
PARRISH | Jermichael Harris scored 23 points as Parrish pummeled Berry on Thursday night.
Reggie Harris scored 20 more for Parrish.
For Berry, Tank Hollingsworth and Weston Bonner each scored 17 points, and Bonner had 10 rebounds. Neil Sullivan added 10 points.
Parrish (6-0) will face Lynn tonight.
Berry (1-3) will play at Hubbertville tonight at 7:30 p.m.
Tuscaloosa Christian 59,
Bessemer Academy 29
TUSCALOOSA | Trent Gibson led all scorers with 18 points and had eight rebounds. Tyler Foust scored 13 points. Freedom Woods had 12 points.
TC (4-1) plays tonight in Cottondale at 7:30 against Tabernacle Christian.
North River Christian 87, Tusc. Home Educators 66
TUSCALOOSA | Josh Harris scored 25 and had 14 rebounds to lead North River to a win over Tuscaloosa Home Educators.
Lacedrick Rice added 22 points, Matthew Robertson had 16 points and 15 rebounds and Patrick Trude had 12 points.
For Tuscaloosa Home Educations, Will Brewbaker had 18 points.
North River (3-1) will play at Cahaba Christian at 7 tonight.

TUSCALOOSA | The Warriors’ Savannah Logan scored 16 points. Holly Chandler scored nine.
TC (3-1) plays tonight in Cottondale at 6 against Tabernacle Christian.
Berry 60, Parrish 21
PARRISH | Emma Harren had 22 points and 12 steals to lead Berry to a big win over Parrish.
Taylor Jones added 11 points for Berry, Karlie Milligan had 10 points and Rayanna Clark had 13 rebounds and seven points.
For Parrish, Mary Jo Sanford had nine points.
Berry (4-0) will next play at Hubertville at 6 p.m. tonight
Parrish (1-7) will face Lynn.
Pickens County 60,
REFORM | Tyneithia Lanier had 23 points and 13 rebounds as Pickens County defeated Hubbertville in a Class 1A, Area 8 matchup.
Also for Pickens County, Kaquana Harris had 13 points.
For Hubbertville, Summer Tucker had 14 points.
Pickens County (1-2, 1-0) will play at Gordo at 6 p.m. Monday.
