BOYS ROUNDUP: Tuscaloosa County rolls over Walker


Justice Green scored 12 points to lead Tuscaloosa County to a 51-24 win over Walker in boys high school basketball action Thursday night.

Tuscaloosa County led 28-14 at the half and outscored Walker in the third period 14-4. Justin Guy had 10 points for TCHS, and Devante Hall added eight more points.

For Walker, Johnathan McCants scored eight.

Tuscaloosa County (4-1) will host Holt at 7:30 tonight.

 

Holt 55, Bibb County 49

CENTREVILLE | Zazieun Jackson had 19 points, six blocks and 16 rebounds as Holt defeated Bibb County.

Devon Crawford had 22 points and Tyler Davis scored eight more for Holt.

For Bibb County, Buster Goode had 15 points and Artez Spacey had 10 points.

Holt (5-2) will play at Tuscaloosa County at 7:30 tonight.

 

Northside 55, Berry 32

SAMANTHA | Zarrian Grant scored 35 to lead Northside to a win over Berry in the Northside Invitational Tournament.

Andrew Robertson scored nine more points for Northside (3-1), which will host Oakman at 8 tonight for the tournament championship game.

Berry was led by Weston Bonner, who had 14 points, and Neil Sullivan, who scored nine. Roman Howton also had 10 rebounds for Berry.

Berry (0-1) will play West Blocton at 5 p.m. today in the consolation game.

 

Tuscaloosa Christian 75, Marion Academy 56

COTTONDALE | Trent Gibson scored 22 points and had 11 rebounds to lead Tuscaloosa Christian to a win over Marion Academy.

Also for Tuscaloosa, Tyler Foust had 14 points and eight assists and Freedom Woods and Jordan Potter each scored 10 points.

For Marion Academy, Mike Brooks had 17 points, Jamaal Paige had 15 points and Jonny Swindal and Dylan Duncan each scored 12.

Tuscaloosa Christian (2-1) will next play at Mountainview Christian of Birmingham at 6 p.m. today.
