at Linden (11-1)
Breakdown: Quarterback Anthony Robinson ran 28 yards for a score and set up another touchdown with a 63-yard interception return in Linden’s 46-0 victory over St. Jude. Prentiss McCuiston had touchdown runs of 2 and 4 yards. The Patriots rushed for 369 yards on 54 attempts. Brantley beat Billingsley 48-0. Brantley was No. 1 and Linden No. 6 in the final Class 1A poll.
Carroll’s prediction: Brantley 28, Linden 26
at Marion County (12-1)
Breakdown: Aaron Dillard rushed for 244 yards on 17 carries and scored five touchdowns in Hubbertville’s 42-18 win over Spring Garden. Dillard scored on runs of 46, 9, 17, 51 and 38 yards and went 6-for-6 on extra-point kicks. Corey Stewart had a 6-yard scoring run for the Lions, who gained 379 rushing yards on 34 attempts. Marion County beat R.A. Hubbard 47-20. Marion County, the defending Class 1A champion, beat Hubbertville 49-19 on Sept. 21.
Carroll’s prediction: Marion County 35, Hubbertville 28
at Pickens County (10-2)
Breakdown: Jermarcus Brown rushed for 286 yards and a 93-yard touchdown in Pickens County’s 34-0 win over Cedar Bluff. Devonte Simon intercepted three passes, scoring a touchdown on an 80-yard return. Pickens County gained 489 yards and limited Cedar Bluff to 45 yards rushing. William Stewart ran for 96 yards and scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Maken Potter scored three touchdowns as Berry beat Hackleburg 44-14 to reach the quarterfinal round for the first time. Potter intercepted a pass and made eight tackles. Terrance "Tank" Hollingsworth rushed for 251 yards on 27 carries and scored on runs of 42 and 2 yards. Clancy Brown scored a touchdown and made 16 tackles. Pickens County won at Berry 49-22 on Oct. 26.

Lamar County (9-3)
at Sweet Water (10-2)
Breakdown: Dallas Cockerham ran for 134 yards and two scores and threw a 35-yard touchdown pass to Tim Harton in Lamar County’s 41-19 win over G.W. Long. Landon Williams had a 36-yard touchdown run. Lamar County gained 398 yards. Sweet Water rushed for 575 yards in a 54-7 win over Aliceville.
Carroll’s prediction: Sweet Water 28, Lamar County 21
Fayette County (10-2)
at Leeds (11-1)
Breakdown: Quarterback Marcellus Redmond scored on 45 and 63 yards and threw a 42-yard scoring pass to JaTevin Madison in Fayette County’s 34-6 win over W.S. Neal. Kyle Nalls had a 34-yard touchdown run, and JaTrae Madison scored on a 34-yard fumble return. Fayette County gained 251 yards rushing and 83 passing. Leeds beat Bayside Academy 22-21.
Carroll’s prediction: Fayette County 21, Leeds 20
