Fayette County wraps up Region 3 title with win over ACA

FAYETTE | Tevin Madison scored three times and led the Fayette County Tigers to the Class 3A, Region 3 championship with a 33-6 win over American Christian Academy on Friday night.

Madison had touchdown receptions of 27 and 19 yards from Marcellus Redmond. Madison also scored on a 16-yard run for Fayette County’s final touchdown.

DeShawn Thomas led the Tiger rushing attack with 82 yards and one touchdown on 12 carries. Kyle Nalls scored on a 2-yard run for the first Tiger touchdown.

ACA’s John Roberts had three receptions for 37 yards, including a 15-yard touchdown from Austin Mohlenbrok.

Fayette County (7-1, 6-0) travels to Northside next Friday, while ACA (3-5, 3-3) travels to Sipsey Valley.
