ROUNDUP: Northside runs its record to 12-0

TUSCALOOSA | The Northside High School volleyball team ran its record to 12-0 Tuesday by sweeping American Christian Academy in a three-game match.
Northside won by scores of 25-4, 25-11 and 25-17 to improve to 5-0 in Class 3A, Area 7.
Northside’s Karley Watts had 11 digs. Ryleigh Malone posted six serving aces and 11 digs. Mikaela Terry had two aces, three digs and 21 assists. Diana Fuller had 14 kills, five aces and four digs.
ACA plays at home today against Holt. Northside will celebrate Senior Night with a home match against Holt at 5 p.m. Thursday.
Oak Mountain 3, Northridge 2
TUSCALOOSA | Oak Mountain defeated the Northridge Lady Jaguars in a match that went to five games.
Northridge won the opener 25-20, but Oak Mountain took the second game by a score of 25-19. Northridge won the third game 25-20. Oak Mountain closed out the victory by winning 25-21 and 15-4.
Northridge’s Anna Lee Petitt had 11 kills, four blocks and three aces. Kiana Johnson had 19 assists. Amanda Guarisco had 10 kills and four blocks. Shirlyncia Moore had five blocks, and Denae Sisler finished with three aces.
Northridge plays at home against Brookwood on Thursday.
South Lamar 3,
Marion County 2
MILLPORT | The South Lamar Lady Stallions won the final two games to defeat Marion County in a five-game match.
South Lamar improved to 18-5 overall, 5-2 in Class 1A, Area 9.
Marion County won the first game 25-23 and the third by a score of 25-17. South Lamar won the second game 25-21 and took the match by winning 25-17 in the fourth game and 15-9 in the fifth.
South Lamar’s Karoline Holsonback had 19 kills, 15 blocks, eight aces and 24 digs. Lauren Crimm had 21 assists and 17 digs.
Abbi Dollar had six kills and 13 digs. Sara Long had 11 digs, and Morgan Hardin had 10. Brooklyn Fulgham finished with five digs, four aces and two kills.
South Lamar plays at Winfield Thursday.
