TUSCALOOSA | Shawntayla Harris scored 15 points to lead Hillcrest to a 72-7 win over Holt in its final regular-season game Tuesday in girls high school basketball.
Ariel Minor added 13 points for the Lady Patriots.
Holt’s leading scorers were Christianna Turner and Jacquetta Street with three points each.
Hillcrest (19-9) plays at 6 p.m. Thursday at Bessemer City against Northridge in the Class 6A, Area 9 tournament.
Akron 62, Sunshine 48
ORRVILLE | Kadijah Small had 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead Akron in a Class 1A, Area 5 tournament win.
Valencia McCain scored 12 points with 10 rebounds. Zabrina Small had 10 points.
Sunshine was led by Eulecia Edwards with 20 points. Shatel Myers scored 14.
Akron (20-9) plays the winner of Keith vs. Maplesville on Monday at 6 p.m.
Northside 42,
West Blocton 7
WEST BLOCTON | Ashton Welborn scored 18 points and had nine rebounds, Jessi Pendley had 11 points and seven rebounds, and Emily Freeman had six steals in Northside’s final regular-season game.
Brooklyn Woods led West Blocton with three points.
Northside (12-11) will play Greensboro on Thursday at 5 p.m. in the AHSAA Class 3A, Area 7 tournament held at Greensboro.
Winfield 64,
Fayette County 24
WINFIELD | It was Senior Night for Winfield, and the senior class won its 100th game with a win over Fayette County.
Micaela Beck led Winfield with 14 points. Senior Chalise Garrison had 12 points, seven steals and six assists.
Seniors Hillary Cole and Lacie Web each had 10 points.
Fayette County was led by Mckayla Cobb with 12 points.
Winfield (25-2) has won 14 in a row and will host the Class 3A, Area 11 tournament, playing Cordova at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
Brookwood 68,
McAdory 54
BROOKWOOD | Lauren Clark scored 19 to lead Brookwood in its final regular-season game.
Benita Lee finished with 17 points and Caitlin Headrick had 13.
McAdory was led by Maya Glover with 14 points. Darien Doss and Sydney King each had 11.
Brookwood (13-9) plays at Central against Paul W. Bryant on Thursday at 6 p.m. in the Class 5A, Area 6 tournament.
Tuscaloosa Christian 46, North River Christian 23
COTTONDALE | Katherine Turner had 11 points for Tuscaloosa Christian.
Savannah Logan added 10 points.
Alex Lewis scored seven for North River Christian.
South Lamar 37,
Parrish 27
BERRY | South Lamar advanced to play host Berry at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the semifinals of the Class 1A, Area 9 tournament.
